Ranai has been the staff Learning Specialist at Beit Rabban Day School on the Upper West Side for the past 3 years. She also has a private practice for educational therapy and tutoring in Manhattan. Ranai is credentialed in both New York and California to teach special education students K-12. Ranai completed her graduate work at Bank Street and Hunter Colleges. She has a Masters Degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Learning Differences. For more than 20 years, Ranai has worked with children in a variety of different settings. She taught elementary school students (K-5) as a Resource/Learning Specialist for both public and private schools in the San Francisco Bay Area for 10 years. Ranai taught 3rd/4th grade at Charles Armstrong in Belmont, CA - a private school for children with learning differences. In 2011 she relocated back east and covered someone's medical leave as the 4th/5th Grade Learning Specialist at Community Roots Charter School in Brooklyn. For the past several years, Ranai had been working as a SETSS Provider through both a private agency and as an independent contractor for the NYC Dept. of Education. On the weekends, Ranai enjoys her other small business doing home organization and interior re-design.
